Peter Berlind Carlson
B i o g r a p h y
1981, in his final year as a master student, Peter was asked to join the staff at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​
After some years of teaching Peter received a British Council scholarship and continued his studies in London with - among others - guitarist David Russell, composer Stephen Dodgson and baroque specialist Charles Medlam.​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Peter has lectured and given master classes at some of Europes most prestigious conservatoires and guitar festivals, been a jury member at international competitions as well as playing concerts both as a soloist and chamber musician. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
His articles and compositions have been published in international guitar magazines and grade systems/guitar syllabus.

A hand injury in 2005 stopped Peter from playing, but in 2009 he returned to the stage to perform Paganini together with internationally acclaimed viola virtuoso Atar Arad. ​​
In 2013 Peter - together with Grammy award winning artist David Russell and studio legend George "Jojje" Wadenius, among others - was invited to perform at the 10:th anniversary concert at the Uppsala International Guitar Festival. This year Peter performed the legendary minimalistic piece "In C" together with an ensemble featuring the composer Terry Riley himself , his son Gyan Riley , The Gothenburg Combo just to name a few.

Apart from teaching, Peters main focus is in composing and playing chamber music in various ensembles.​​​ ​​​​​​
